A worldwide marketing company that boasts major drug companies as some of its clients has lost its bid to stop a lawsuit filed by the state of Massachusetts for the part it played in pushing opioids on people to the point of addiction.
Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey sued Publicis Groupe for helping Purdue Pharma to develop advertising strategies to push Purdue’s opioid sales over a nine-year period. In rejecting Publicis’ request to drop the suit, Massachusetts’ Suffolk County Superior Court Judge Brian Davis said the marketing campaigns were purposely designed “to use more OxyContin, prescribe higher doses and prescribe it for longer periods of time for patients.”
As a reminder, Justice Truth News points out:
- Publicis is a partner of the World Economic Forum, which is pushing for The Great Reset
- Publicis funded the start-up of the self-appointed “guardian” of truth in the news, NewsGuard, which actively shoots down any information on COVID-19 that doesn’t agree with, or questions, establishment edicts
- NewsGuard’s “fact” checking health arm, HealthGuard, is partnered with the dark money-funded Center for Countering Digital Hate, which came up with a now-debunked, but still widely used list of what it calls “the disinformation dozen”
In other news, in August 2020 NewsGuard announced that it had won a Pentagon-State Department contest to show how it could “evaluate disinformation narrative themes in near real time.” NewsGuard plans to use its $25,000 prize to track mentions of specific topics across multiple media channels.
